# MOHL-7 Desert Sandworm Excavator — Engineering Blueprint Set

A single-file, self-contained engineering drawing set for a giant desert sandworm
re-engineered as a robot. Everything is generated with inline SVG, CSS and vanilla
JavaScript — no external assets, libraries, images or fonts.

## Files

- `index.html` — the complete blueprint set (open it directly in any modern browser).
- `README.md` — this note.

## What it contains

- **FIG. 1 — Burrow locomotion cycle.** Animated elevation of the worm moving through
sand: the body follows a travelling wave, segments rotate and pump as they articulate,
drive fins stroke, the head breaches and dives on a duty cycle, spray/dust particles
mark the breach, and buried geometry appears as a clipped x-ray ghost plus a marching
bore trace. Live readouts and four phase chips track the cycle.
- **FIG. 2 — Segment-by-segment mechanical breakdown.** Exploded side elevation with
straight leader callouts and a module schedule: MRD-01 crusher maw, S-04 sensor ring,
A-02 armour collar, D-12 drive segments, C-08 service spine, P-01 power core, E-05
ejecta screw and T-03 vector tail. Animated fins, scanner, core pulse and status data.
- **FIG. 3 — Section A–A, maw grinding and intake.** A true cross-section through the
head: armoured rostrum, breaker teeth, two counter-rotating crusher drums, grizzly
grid, auger conveyor, check valves, throat/venturi and coolant jacket. Rotating drums,
flapping valves, conveying grains and a marching coolant flow, all with section
hatching, dimension lines and an eleven-item bill of materials.
- **FIG. 4 — Terrain and operations map.** Terrain profile with strata and an ore lode,
executed and planned bore routes, five working zones (launch, shallow survey, deep
excavation, recharge, planned extension), depth scale, grid references, legend, scale
bar, plan-view inset, and a small worm glyph that travels the route continuously.

A classic title block, revision strip, drawing numbers, scale bars, centre lines,
dimension lines and technical lettering tie the whole sheet set together.

## Notes

- **Motion:** SMIL animations run alongside a `requestAnimationFrame` loop for FIG. 1.
`prefers-reduced-motion: reduce` disables animation and renders static frames.
- **Responsive:** panels stack on phones; the three large drawing sheets can be panned
horizontally on narrow screens (a hint appears below 900 px).
- **Stripping to a subset:** each figure is independent — delete a panel `<section>`
and its `buildFigN()` call in the script.
- **Tuning:** colours live in the `:root` CSS variables; the worm's speed, wavelength
and amplitude are the `SPD`, `K` and `AMP` constants in `buildFig1()`.
