# Wild, at dusk

A red fox gallops through an illustrated dusk forest in an exactly **8-second,
seamless loop**. Open `index.html` directly in a modern browser; no installation,
server, internet connection, or build step is needed.

- Everything is inside `index.html`: inline CSS, JavaScript, canvas artwork, and SVG controls. No external assets, fonts, libraries, or network requests.
- The 16:9 scene fits desktop, portrait-phone, and landscape-phone windows, with high-DPI rendering.
- Twenty articulated run cycles per loop animate all four legs, the bounding body, stabilized head, ears, and flexible white-tipped tail. Planted feet track the moving ground.
- Four forest layers, the trail, and foreground plants scroll at different depths against a still, distant horizon. Deterministic tiles and periodic motion keep the loop continuous.
- Scenery is painted once into cropped, cached canvas strips; compositor-friendly transforms scroll it while only the fox and nearby drifting particles are redrawn.
- Click the pause/play control or press **Space**. Click expand or press **F** for fullscreen where supported; **Esc** exits.
- Reduced-motion preferences start the scene paused; play explicitly to animate. Hidden tabs stop rendering and resume without skipping ahead.

The artwork is generated locally, using only browser-native drawing APIs.
