# ATLAS / IV

A procedural powered-armour explorer contained entirely in `index.html`.

Run `python3 -m http.server 8000` in this directory, then open
**http://localhost:8000** in a modern WebGL2 browser. No build or installation is
needed. Internet access is required for Three.js **0.170.0** and its controls
and environment modules, all imported from the pinned jsDelivr CDN.

The suit has **972 distinct, independently animated mesh parts**, built from
primitives, extrusions, lathes, and generated cables. Shared geometry is
rendered in **72 instanced batches**. Models, textures, fonts, and other assets
are never downloaded. Startup logs exactly `PART_COUNT 972`.

- **Explore:** drag to orbit; scroll or pinch to zoom.
- **Assemble / explode:** use the buttons or **Space**. The separation slider
allows manual inspection; animations can be reversed while running.
- **Inspect:** toggle tracked labels, wireframe, or automatic rotation.
- **Views:** **1** front, **2** three-quarter, **3** rear; **R** resets the camera.
**L** toggles labels and **W** toggles wireframe. The **?** button lists controls.

Includes responsive touch controls, procedural studio lighting and shadows,
adaptive pixel density, idle rendering, and reduced-motion support.
Read-only runtime metrics are available as `window.atlasDiagnostics`.
