# AEGIS Mark IV

A procedural powered-armour showcase with **907 independently animated mesh parts** in one self-contained `index.html`. All suit geometry, identification decals, lighting, and platform details are generated in code; there are no external models, images, fonts, or textures. Only Three.js **0.170.0** and its matching addons load from the pinned jsDelivr CDN.

## Run

Open `index.html` directly in a modern browser, or run `python3 -m http.server 8000` in this directory and open `http://localhost:8000`. An internet connection is required for the CDN modules, and the browser must support WebGL 2 and import maps. No build step or installation is needed.

## Explore

- **Assemble / Explode:** reversible, staggered component animation. The separation slider also allows manual inspection.
- **Orbit:** drag with a mouse or one finger; zoom with the scroll wheel or a two-finger pinch.
- **Inspect:** click or tap suit parts or their screen-tracked labels. Labels, auto-orbit, wireframe, and camera reset have toolbar buttons.
- **Keyboard:** `A` assemble, `E` explode, `L` labels, `R` auto-orbit, `W` wireframe, `H` reset camera, `Esc` clear selection. Focused buttons and the slider retain native keyboard controls.

The console prints `PART_COUNT <n>` after construction. This counts the suit's individually modeled, independently animated mesh parts, not the display platform or HUD. Shared geometry/materials are rendered in instance batches; pixel ratio is capped and adapts to slower devices. Reduced-motion preferences skip the intro and make assembly immediate. `window.aegis` exposes the count, animation triggers, and read-only runtime statistics.
